Blackberry's BBM app is now available… just join the queue to use it
The hit messaging system is about to go global but thanks to 'unprecedented' demand, users are being told to join the queue“Put the kettle on and wait in the virtual queue for your account to go live”
THE world’s most popular messaging system BBM, has finally launched on Android and iPhone devices.
But with millions of users across the world keen to start chatting, Blackberry is struggling to keep up.
The app was originally due for release in September but this was delayed due to technical issues.
Now the app has hit the Apple and Google Play stores and has already been downloaded to more than two million handsets.
But even once you've got the Blackberry Messenger app on your device you will be asked to register. Then put the kettle on and wait in the virtual queue for your account to go live.
Clearly BBM is going to be hugely popular but the question is, can Blackberry afford to have these problems with so many free messaging services like WhatsApp now available?
If you sign up now you’ll only have around 5 million people in front of you...let’s hope you’ve got plenty of tea bags in the cupboard.
