Eating Habits and Obesity

A main reason which lead all people towards  the fitness centers is the food style  which people are leading, mainly the fast life and the consequent fast food which results in unhealthiness and subsequent short span of life. The style of food which we intake is the major reason. As people are quite busy, all go behind fast food or processed food which results in obesity. In the beginning stage they are least bothered of their healthy body later on they start to realize what changes has been made in them due to the unhealthy food. After that they go for a consultation to any dietician collect the tips from them and it is people’s nature that they apply it for few days or months and later on go to their old food style. Compared to the previous generation people the upcoming generations have short span of life, the main reason or factor which the experts say regarding this is our food habits. All people should try their level best to choose healthy food. Initially they find a tough time to cope up with the tips provided by dieticians, so it is better to conduct seminars in schools and colleges regarding the unhealthy food which results in obesity. Actually our food style shows what we are.

Doctors say that the metabolism rate varies in different people for some it is slow and for some it is fast, those who have slow metabolism rate they put on weight very fast. But finally the stern decision regarding the health which you need is to be taken individually which finally depends on the food you intake which is reflected in your body, as most of them initially decides to reduce weight go to fitness centers, burn down their calories and later on to the previous stage which is quite natural but the main factor behind this all is a good advice or seminars to be organized regarding the unhealthy food resulting in obesity. Likewise take food according to a person’s metabolism, eat healthy food, take grain food, leafy vegetables, and add more vegetables to our food.

Obesity is related to weight of body, it differs in its terms like excess weight relates to our bones, muscles but obesity means excess fat in our body the main reason for this is our lifestyle which can be reduced if we try to bring changes in the food we have. Obesity results too many health problems like high blood pressure, diabetic, cancers and so on. Some people put on weight very soon the reasons might be genetic, hereditary, food style etc. But steps can be taken to reduce your obese through proper exercises and healthy diet. Due to fast life, people depend on fast food which have huge amount of calories which fills our stomach very fast, like the Jung food (French fries, burgers, pizzas, kentucky fried foods….) Nobody bothers the moment they take food but later on when the realize they put on weight they run behind gym centers to burn it out but instead of that if we take less amount of food which is healthy and do exercises regularly we can maintain our health to a certain extent. When we have food, don’t concentrate on quantity you take but on the quality of food you take.

Before starting an exercise program it is good to talk to your doctor as he can guide properly regarding the wellbeing especially in persons who are already facing health issues and who are carrying  and likely. Regular exercises can improve the health of the women and can reduce related health issues like risk of developing diabetics, cancer, depression, hypertension, release stress, control weight, reduce body fat etc .By doing exercises regularly like take stairs instead of elevators in the working hours, go for walking daily at least half an hour, do the house work quickly, moping, cleaning yard etc. But the thing is that you have to do these things regularly, so before choosing takes a stern decision that you will not move from it and choose something which you like to do. Through this regular physical fitness the risk of heart disease gets reduced, helps women in maintaining or reducing weight , looks more healthy and young than their age, boost the level  of (HDL  ) good cholesterol which is good for the body. Exercises that can be done by women like climbing stairs , walking, swimming, cleaning yard, hose works etc can help to maintain good health and there by improving the overall health of the body.
When the ladies are pregnant the health of an individual starts reducing due to the changes in the hormones. So, proper care during that period and after that is essential.  It will lead to a better and healthier life. In other countries the carrying women’s are given classes for their wellness as a women’s health is lost soon after delivery, which is quite natural. But this can be controlled by doing exercises during post natal and pre natal periods but proper guidance by experts is essential, but in most countries it  is not practiced at all. An excellent way for women to exercise which the experts advised during pregnancy is water aerobics which is held as indoor and this form of exercise promote a speedy recovery after delivery and yoga is also advised. The water aerobic exercise is a wonderful way to get back into shape of the body after the baby comes. The days are now gone when women are told to do very little during pregnancy and to overcome the problems and uncomforting faced during this time. But in India still this is not practiced as doctors suggest for a bed rest soon they are conceived and later after delivery. The benefit of exercise is not only for the mother but also for the baby which is still in the mother’s womb, thereby good health after pregnancy for both. Due to the rest advised by the doctors the fat gets accumulated there by putting on excess weight which gets the delivery complicated and related health issues. But as in other countries it is not seen. So women who exercise during their pregnancy are less likely to gain weight during this period and are likely to loose weight after pregnancy. So for a healthier mother and baby exercise during pregnancy reduce the risk of caesarian, less chance of inducing, short labor time. A good gynecologist can guide more regarding the wellness in women by exercising during and after this time. Women of all ages can improve the quality of life by doing exercise and there by reducing risk related to health. By regular physical activity you can bring changes in the health but it might not be reflected soon, it might take time.
Milk is natures drink and it is richly wellness to the body .As it is full of calcium it helps to strengthen the bones and teeth, but care has to be taken that we take low fat or skimmed milk. The need of calcium to our body starts from the very young age and extends to the adulthood. Especially in women’s after the age of 30 the body starts drawing back, so milk is quite essential for the body during these periods. Normally milk drinkers tend to be thinner. Today’s youth suffers obesity and related diseases, but milk can lead to weight loss, strong bones and overall health. So by proper exercise and healthy diet we can maintain wellness. But hen women do exercises care has to be taken that whenever exercise is done it has to b done slowly.

Poverty and Farmers Suicide in India

India is a country where people of different cultures and tradition lives together. India is a country with vast resources. Cultivation is still the main source of living and income in villages. Agriculture plays and important role in the economy of the country. Even though the country is blessed with resources such as fertile land, climate and agriculture is the main source of income the resources are not utilized or exploited in a proper manner.
The villagers or farmers in the country constitute the major food supply source for the country. The farmers do not get an opportunity to work independently. They are influenced by different factors. The product of their hard work is exploited by the intermediaries. Farmers are not having proper education. Majority of them are even deprived of basic education and illiterate. In the most backward states like Bihar, Orissa and remote places in the north eastern region of the country farmers are mere puppets in the hands of politicians. Caste system still prevails in these regions even today. The lower class never gets an opportunity to know about their rights. The farmers cultivate the land for their land lord and its fruits are enjoyed by the land lords. A farmer who toils the land without any fail cannot provide anything for his family. His family need not get enough food. For the survival he will lend money from the local money lenders for huge interest. And if the cultivation is destroyed by natural calamity or by any other means his life becomes more miserable. If he couldn’t pay back the money at due time, his property or any other asset which he has will be captivated by the money lender. It is the usual picture seen in remote villages.
In some parts where the some fortunate people who have basic education and aware about their rights do not fall in the exploitation. They get proper guidance from the government authorities. But if a financial crisis occurs many of them approach the bank. If a default is made the arrears will come to huge figure which cannot be repaid by them as their only income source is the agriculture. This had surely lead to innumerable farmer suicides in the country.
It is quite evident that the economy of country mainly depends on the agriculture sector of the country. Poverty and financial crisis are main factors which is responsible for the farmer suicides in India. The government and other institutions with regard to agriculture should take immediate measures to give adequate supply which sustains the life and family of the farmers.

Why atheism? Is it good or bad?

From the dawn of the history of mankind, faith in God too originated. Man strongly believed in God as he had to face too many hardships for his survival. He required an inner power to support him in every thing he did. He started worshipping nature and developed several ceremonies and customs as an integral part of his faith.
As everything has two dimensions by the passage of time gradually man turned against god. He believed that human beings are the real rulers of earth. He began to believe in himself which resulted in the theory of atheism .an atheist never believed in god. An atheist always questions the power of God. An atheist gives prominence to scientific theories and principles. To him God is an imaginary creation of man to exploit his fellow beings. They question the existence of god by put forth the question that if a supreme being exists the world would have been a better place to live without any calamities or disasters. Prayers are waste of time as it does not prevent any of this chaos. According to them the human beings has responsibility to life and they have every right to enjoy all good things in life. They believe that only hard work makes a human being successful in life.  Morality, life after death and religious beliefs are irrational and mislead the mankind.
In the modern era were technological developments are so advanced many people tend to believe in atheism. For them self confidence, financial security and other material possessions are the prime concern. To some extent atheism helps people to have a faith in themselves to face any crisis in the life.
The other perspective of atheism is even though there is rational thinking one should before being an atheist should think that even before the origin of this concept world existed. Even though there are theories relating to the origin of the world like big bang theory no body have the correct answer to this question. At this point the relevancy of religious books should be taken seriously. All religions in the world firmly state that the world and human beings are the wonderful creation of the almighty. The origin of life and its existence is the true gift from god. No atheist had ever given a satisfactory definition to the life. It is evident that true trust in the power of almighty can never be taken aback with atheist concepts.

Cardiovascular disease and diabetic

Diabetic and its further health consequences has become a major killer to the world. The medical field has taken an approach to prescribe drugs for lowering cholesterol for patients who are having high amount of bad cholesterol. Heart problems are seen more in persons who are having cholesterol. Reducing bad cholesterol by taking medicines can prevent heart disease and there by gaining a good lasting life .But some oppose this and say it has side effects resulting in diabetics. So they say that proper diet and regular exercise is better than taking drugs continuously which is harmful. The main foundation of a healthy person is a healthy diet and regular fitness but for some that alone is not significant mainly those who possess huge amount of bad cholesterol .Heart problems and related diseases is not quite easy to recognize and they might not be treated until it is too late. So this disease result often in a sudden cardiac death, heart attack, stroke.. Resulting in death or disability. People who are facing high bad cholesterol have high chances of heart attacks. But it is said that once a person starts to taken cholesterol controlling tablets then he has to take it continuously because once you stop taking it the level of cholesterol will rise more than which they where maintaining, so it is better to go for a second opinion always before starting drugs another factor is that these drugs have a chance of turning the patient to diabetic also.
Those who are having diabetics especially the type 1 and type 2 faces more risk from heart attacks, blood pressure and strokes which is very difficult to detect . Cardiovascular disease is commonly affected who are mainly diabetic. As the blood flow becomes slower in diabetic patient due to the thickening of blood vessels, heart problems can occur soon, stroke, and paralysis or to death. A person who has metabolic syndromes also is at a higher risk of heart problems and is very common in United States and now it is seen throughout the entire world. Common symptoms of heart disease although it varies from each individual are pain in the chest, short breath, leg pain, swelling in ankles… To prevent heart disease the main thing that a person has to do is reduce your weight by regular exercise and by a healthy diet. Avoid liquors and smoking; go for an advice to a physician, then a regular cholesterol and bp check up, sugar levels every month. It is not only monthly check up but maintaining the levels properly is what needed. We can assess the risk of cardiovascular disease through an EKG test (electrocardiogram).
A diabetic patient also faces foot problems, so proper care has to be taken to foot. Foot ulcers affect 1 out of every 10 diabetic patients. It affects the sensory part of the body and becomes a numb, commonly seen is it become dry and cracked for these persons. Infections spread quickly than in a normal person and it takes time to heal as the glucose level is high in these patients. So by strictly controlling your sugar with apt treatment and healthy diet and regular exercises you are likely to suffer less problems relating to diabetics like heart problems foot ulcers, stroke, paralysis and so on. So it    is good or very apt to say that a diabetic alone itself is a cardiovascular disease. As the insulin resistance develops in a diabetic patient it affects the pancreas. Mostly 90 %of patients are type 2 diabetic. Obesity also ends in diabetic which is quite seen in US. Both excess fat in the body and in activity ends in type 2 diabetics. Diabetic is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease in both men and women. When hyper tension co exists with over diabetic which is quite common the risk factor for CVD is increased doubly. Patient with diabetic who are smoking are also doubly at CVD risk.

Suicide at a Glance : How to prevent it

Suicide has become a major cause of death in the whole world. Millions of death is due to suicide, some might be reported as suicide, some might not be reported in order to get insurance claim etc.. But the trend shows hike of suicide death every year. Mainly it is seen in age groups from fifteen to thirty five and more than woman, men only commit suicide. There is a wide difference in the suicide attempt of people in developing countries and developed countries. The rate will be more in developed countries. In a developing country like India this risk is also a major problem. Mainly women who are married face this situation as separation is quite more now and when women loose hope in them they choose this to end their life. Mainly in India they choose pesticides, hangings. In developed countries they say that those who committed suicide will have mental problems but this is not accepted in India. The main reasons for the suicide attempt are depression, love failure, rejection from the family members, love failure, loose in hope and so on. Special programmes should be conducted to give awareness regarding the suicide especially in the teen ages and such programmes are to be initiated.

In India, Kerala state reports to be the toppers in suicide; it states that more than 9000 deaths are stated annually. Suicide can be prevented but it needs support, especially the society, they have to identify the ones which have that tendency and are to be mentally supported, emotionally and the means are endless. So suicide is a preventable cause of death. Nothing is done to prevent suicide death both in public or personal level and government has not started such programs to give awareness. The explanations sated for the higher suicide rate in southern regions are higher literacy rate, higher expectations likewise economic status. In India majority of the rate of suicide is below thirty five years and has become a major problem to the public which need a solution or an action to be taken by the government. Even though this act is done by a person himself it has become a social problem because it has certain effects of society, ultimately which could have been avoided or prevented. Especially in India the reasons that cause women to suicide are love failure, divorce, problems after marriage, extra marital affairs, pregnancy problems, and so on. But study reveals that majority of the ones who committed suicide are mentally reported. Copy cat suicides are also seen in India; media also play an important role in this.

When a person faces a temporary problem, he or she finds a permanent solution through suicide. Mostly those people who have a tendency of committing suicide feels that nobody cares of them, so some people even though  they doesn’t want to do so announces  that they are doing just to gain attention of others which may finally lead to death. They always look at others attention. Prevention is possible if the problem is recognized in correct time. Suicidal thoughts are being experienced to many people, sometime an unexpected problem in the life may lead to such thoughts. Those people who have a history of such have a higher risk in doing the same again. In this case such patients can be counseled and taken measures from preventing suicide. The risk in such type of suicidal thoughts is higher in children’s than in other age group. One of the major causes of suicidal thoughts is depression. This depression can be recognized through the symptoms like restless , no sleep, rapid weight gain or weight loss , and so on…We always wish that it will not happen to any person we know. People who like to commit suicide are mentally depressed, those who have previous history, death of the loved one, divorce, druggers etc... There are many reasons which lead a person to commit suicide mostly when they loose hope in themselves it happens. Actually they are finding it as a solution for their problems, but if it is detected and proper care is given for them a tremendous change can be seen in their life. If you is concerned of a person on talk and listen to his problems patiently without any arguments. Take the risk of telling somebody who is very close to you they might be a friend , relative whoever it is without any fear or shame, that itself is the major solution from committing  suicide.

Brain attack facts and stroke prevention

When blood flow to the brain is interrupted stroke occurs and it is also called as brain attack .When blood flow to the brain is stopped, the cells of the brain gets damaged very fast i.e. if one side of the brain is affected it will affect the other side it is because one side of the brain controls the opposite side. . There are different types of strokes, many of them are not identified mostly he silent one which last for an hour or might persist to twenty four hours. This silent stroke called as the mini stroke will turn into a bigger one within five years if it is not properly treated. It is a warning sign which is not to be ignored. The effect of stroke depends on which area of the brain is damaged. Some of the symptoms which are common are pain in left leg and hand later on cannot move the left side portion , speech cannot be understood , left side of the face goes limp and so on. The third leading cause of death in America after heart disease and cancer is stroke or brain attack. The most common symptoms are numbness in the left side of body and face, sever headache of no reason, lack of speech.
Compared to the other organs of the body brain is the most sensitive one so any slow blood flow can damage the brain cells very fast and lack of oxygen also leads to brain damages. Those who have high blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, Obesity, no physical activities, cause stroke and heart diseases. Study says that those who have faced the first stoke are likely to get the next within five years. Having good exercise, healthy diet, quit smoking reduces the risk of stroke, keep blood pressure and cholesterol under control. When a blood flow to a vessel stops through blood clotting stroke occurs and thus the brain gets damaged very fast as they are very sensitive and there by the brain starts dieing. Thus the cells of the brain die when stroke occurs and there by certain functions are stopped which is controlled or functioned by brain like speech, physical movement, and memory power. So people with small stroke face small problems like movement of leg, partial speech but with high stroke may be paralyzed or the ability to speak completely. Stroke is a brain attack as stroke affects brain ad not heart. Those who ever had a mini stroke, a major stroke, or else who are having a high blood pressure are likely to get a brain attack very soon so to prevent from such we have to take certain measures.
Most of the people don’t know they have high blood pressure because there are no signs or symptoms for this but when this gets accompanied by high cholesterol, sugar, the damage to kidney, arthritis etc starts. So it is clear that a stroke or brain attack happens when blood flow to the brain stops. In the United States of America stroke is ranking as the fourth killer. There are two types of stroke one is when there is blockage and other is bleeding to the brain. The first one is the ischemic stroke which is very common and the second type is called the hemorrhagic stroke, so in order to avoid the death due to his we have to know the warning signs and risk factors. The major signs that your brain is not receiving oxygen are sudden numbness in the leg, face or one part of your body, lack of control in walking, sever headache, lack of understanding speech and the danger signs are nausea a, vomiting ,drowsiness. These may last for a few minutes and they disappear and so they are called mini strokes. So don’t take it easy go to a doctor get your checkups and you can save a life. Some of the treatable risk factors of stroke are high blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, family history etc..

“We Now Have Money To Sign Rooney For £25m And Pay Him £200,000 Per Week” – Arsenal Chief Said So

image

Ivan Gazidis has revealed that Arsenal now have the financial muscle to complete a move for a player like Wayne Rooney.
The Gunners chief executive, shot down speculations that scoffed at the possibility of manager Arsene Wenger making a big bid for the want-away Manchester United striker, hinting that they were ready to revamp their rigid wage structure.
When he was asked whether Arsenal would consider an audacious bid for Rooney, if it involved the North London club paying United £25 million and offering Rooney £200,000 per week, he replied firmly: “Of course we could do that, we could do more than that,” he told reporters. “We have a certain amount which we’ve held in reserve. We also have new revenue streams coming on board and all of these things mean we can do things which would excite you.“We can think about all kinds of things, but we don’t think about what’s going to excite our fans for the next couple of weeks, we think about what’s going to excite them when we start playing in August and hopefully when we’re in March and April and competing.
“For Arsene, it’s a question of getting the right players, the ones he believes in, not necessarily the players the fans want. He’s very disciplined about his beliefs and how he wants to structure a team. He has new tools available to him financially and I think he’ll make good use of them.“What you will see is certainly an Arsenal team that is getting better over the next couple of years unless we make big mistakes, but historically we have got a manager who has got a proven of doing this extremely well over a long period of time.“I think we deserve a little more credit than we’ve been given. Having said that, we’ve got more financial capability now and I’m sure that will help us to be able to secure the targets that Arsene wants.”
Gazidis admitted that the club are not able to compete in the transfer market for big players, with owners who have “unlimited resources”, but is looking forward to a successful 2013/2014 season.“My own view is we are moving into a new phase where if we make our decisions well, if we get the right chemistry, and if we do a variety of other things as well, not just the new players that come in but the right kind of things on the football side, that we can compete with any club in the world,” he added.
“We’ve seen two clubs this year in the Champions League final and both of whom run responsible financial models. They are pretty fantastic teams and very exciting to watch. There’s no reason why we can’t do that.”

Omotola talks about her Time Magazine honour

In April 2013, screen goddess Omotola Jalade Ekeinde (pictured above with Justin Timberlake) was honored as one of Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People in the World. According to Omotola, it's an achievement that will forever linger in her memory. She tells Encomium magazine:
"It's a great honour. Sometimes you really don't know your worth and people around you may just take you for granted. I was selected for a number of reasons. From what I was told, they watch a lot of my movies up there. The person who wrote my profile is actually the movie critic for Time magazine. He had been introduced to some of my movies. He also got to know about my other activities, including human rights activism and others. They also conducted opinion polls from those that follow what's going on in Nollywood. I think the opinion of the organisers is based on this. I wasn't the only person picked from Africa. There was another guy from Egypt but he's white and lives in the US. He is a blogger. I was the only black African honoured and out of the 100 honorees, they only picked 20 of our portraits displayed in the Time Work of Fame, and my picture was there. Not only that, it was given the pride of place. One thin I noticed was that from the moment I stepped onto the red carpet, I was treated like a queen. I was on one of the best tables, sitting with US Vice President, Joe Biden and others. I think it was a good moment for Africa. It was one of the few moments I felt like Africa has arrived.

Later known as John Obi Mikel he was gaining headlines for his country at the FIFA Under-17 World Championships held in Finland. Subsequently he went on trial to South Africa club Ajax Cape Town, before joining Lyn in Norway.
During preparations for the 2003 FIFA Under-17 World Championships, the Nigerian Football Association mistakenly submitted “Michael” as “Mikel” for the tournament in Finland. He decided to keep the new name, saying that it had a special ring to it. On 31 July 2006, he stated that he prefers to be called Mikel John Obi instead of John Obi Mikel, as he had most commonly been called.
In the summer of 2005, Mikel played for Nigeria at the FIFA World Youth Championships held in the Netherlands. He had an excellent tournament until Nigeria reached the final, where they lost 2–1 to Argentina. Obi won the Silver Ball after being voted the tournament’s second best player and has been good on is position so far.

Container Truck Crushes Man To Death

Scene-of-the-accident-360x225

Tragedy struck on Thursday at Ikeja Along Bus Stop on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Lagos State, after a heavily loaded 40-foot container truck fell on a government meat van, crushed a passerby, and wounded several others.
Eyewitnesses said the truck had swerved off the road to avoid colliding with some policemen, who were chasing a motorcycle rider, before the incident occurred around 9am.
The victim, identified as Samuel Ogunnaike, was an employee of a popular phone dealer in Computer Village, Ikeja, and was on his way to the office when he met his death.
Any hope that he could survive the accident was dashed after he was trapped for about four hours before his body was retrieved from the wreckage.
The van, Eko Meat Van, with number plate XY 433 AA was levelled after one of the containers fell on it. The driver and three passengers in the vehicle, however, escaped with injuries.
Eyewitnesses blamed the accident on the police.
One of them, Michael Energy, said overzealous policemen, who were chasing a motorcyclist, caused the confusion that led to the accident.
He said, “I was coming from Agege when I saw a commercial motorcyclist, popularly called okada, driving against traffic. He was carrying a man and a lady as passengers.
“Some police officers who were coming from Ikeja Along tried to stop him, but he ignored them.
“They gave him a chase and brushed the okada with their vehicle, which sent the rider and his passengers sprawling on the road.
“Another police van came, and seeing the scene, decided to wait. At this point, the two police vehicles blocked the road.
“The Eko meat van was coming on the same road, and since the police had blocked the major road, he had no option, but to stop.
“The trailer, carrying two containers, was on top speed. I think his brake failed because he was unable to control the speed.
“The driver of the trailer, while trying to avoid colliding with the police officers, swerved and ended up ramming into the van and killing the man who was passing by.”
Energy claimed that immediately the accident occurred, the police vehicles disappeared from the accident scene.
A member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, who would not want to be named said, the corps treated two of the casualties at the accident scene, before they were taken to the state’s hospital.
He said two other people that were badly injured had also been taken to an undisclosed hospital before the NSCDC officials arrived.
Mukaila Rauf, a 24-year-old meat seller, who escaped unhurt in the meat van, said he sat at the back of the van.
Rauf said, “I saw the police pursuing three bikes. Suddenly, we heard the trailer hooting. He tried avoiding us, but its tail hit the van and one of the containers fell on us. Our driver was badly injured.”
The atmosphere quickly turned to that of hostility as the crowd jeered and booed the policemen who later cordoned off the area.
This began a long line of traffic, just as passengers of vehicles began to disembark and started trekking to their destinations.
A police officer at the scene, however, said that the police was not to blame for the accident.
She claimed that the accident had occurred because the bike rider and the meat van had taken one way.
She said, “The motorcycle and the van were taking one way when the police were trying to stop them. The driver of the truck then on top speed hit the van.”
South-west coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, said, “We got conflicting accounts from the policemen and the public, so we don’t know exactly the number of the casualties and what exactly transpired. We only took out one dead body.”

Breaking News:- Victor Moses Parents Are Not Dead

Victor Moses, who is having one of the best seasons of his life in football right now. Having moved from a relatively small football club in England, to one of the top 3 best in the UK & one of the best in Europe presently, in the shape of Chelsea FC of England. The young man contributed so well to his club achievements in only his first season there.

Not forgetting he was also fantastic in Nigeria's Nations Cup win in South Africa earlier this year. The gist currently going on about is that contrary to his claim to have lost his parents a few years ago to sectarian riots in the Northern parts of Nigeria (Kaduna State to be more precise).

That claim might well be very far fetched and totally away from the truth. According to some reports, his parents are said to be hale & hearty, very alive in Edo State of Nigeria presently.

According to the old media reports Mr & Mrs Austine & Josephine Moses- supposed parents of Victor Moses, who were said to be missionaries and were supposedly killed in 2002 during the sectarian riots in Kaduna. The 11 year old had gone out to play football, only to return to a home already destroyed and parents murdered. Victor Moses hence had to travel to the UK to seek for asylum. And the rest his now history.

With this new discovery now as claimed by Sunday Express of Sunday, May 26 to June1, 2013 on their page 6.

So what is the true situation of things? What does Victor Moses have to say about what has been discovered? Is this a case of doing all one could do, to seek for the golden fleece abroad?

Arshavin's agent reveals options following Arsenal departure

Andrey Arshavin has been linked with several European clubs

The winger will be leaving the Gunners at the end of June when his contract expires, but is attracting interest from numerous top European clubs, according to his representative
Andrey Arshavin's agent claims the Arsenal forward is being targeted by a number of clubs after it was announced the Russia international would be leaving the Emirates at the end of June.

The Russian international joined the Gunners from Zenit St Petersburg for €17.5 million in 2009, but is set to depart once his contract expires, having made only 11 appearances for the club in all competitions last season.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a move back to Russia, but his agent, Scott Fisher, insists that there are many options available to the player
"Besiktas? No comment. No we have some possibilities; there are interested teams from different countries," Fisher told sports.ru. "Andrey is on holiday at the moment so we'll discuss the current situation this weekend. Can he go back to Russia? There's a chance for this. But we have to discuss all possibilities and we have to find out what is the best for Andrey.
"He's still very ambitious. He's a great footballer in a good age and ready to play. Money is not the most important criteria. He's ready for new challenges and he's ready to play."
Fisher also insisted that Arshavin was keen on signing for a team that could offer him top level football.
"We have lots of possibilities but I can admit that it is European football that is really interesting," he added.
"Champions League or Europa League - these are great competitions."

Sneijder leaves door open for Mourinho reunion at Chelsea

Sneijder has hinted at a reunion with Mourinho at Chelsea

The Netherlands international - who played under the Portuguese at Inter - has not ruled out playing under his former coach again

Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder admits he has kept contact with Jose Mourinho since the new Chelsea boss left San Siro for Real Madrid, fueling rumours that he could join him in west London.

Sneijder only moved to Galatasaray in January but did little to play down the suggestion that he could join the 50-year-old at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to SporX, Sneijder said: "I have a great relationship with Jose Mourinho.

"We have kept in contact since our days at Inter . Does Chelsea need a playmaker? I'm not sure. In football you can never be certain of what will happen next but I'm very happy in Turkey."

Sneijder, 28, has made 12 appearances for the Super Lig side, and did draw criticism initially as his fitness levels were questioned, but the Netherlands international looked back fondly at their Champions League run.

"Reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League was our target and we reached it," he added.

"The first leg against Real Madrid was disappointing, had we played better we could have progressed. The home leg with the twelfth man behind us was amazing."

Kenya 0-1 Nigeria: Ahmed Musa goal stuns Harambee Stars in Nairobi

Kenya midfielder Peter Opiyo andf John Obi Mikel of Nigeria.
The win now takes Nigeria back to the top of Group F with 8 points while Malawi are second on six after battling to a 0-0 draw with Namibia in a match played in Blantyre earlier on Wednesday.
Kenya, who had win to keep alive their hopes of gracing the World Cup final, started the match badly with defender Brian Mandela almost handing the visitors a quick goal in the 1st minute of the match.
The South African-based defender failed to deal with a loose ball after restart allowing Nigerian striker Brian Ideye to charge forward but the Super Eagles' star could not find the back of the net with keeper Ochieng’ to beat.
Five minutes later, Musa Ahmed beat the Kenyan defense but his attempt to pick out an advancing Sunday Mba was blocked by Brian Mandela.
The Kenyans were having a great time in midfield and Oman-based Jamal Mohammed was showing some awesome creativity though he appeared self-fish sometimes.
In the 10th minute with Kepha Aswani advancing towards the Nigerian goal, Mohammed hesitated and allowed the Nigerian defense to recover lost ground.
One minute later, Nigeria had their first free-kick which Chelsea star John Obi Mikel lifting it high towards the Kenyan goal and rested on the side netting.
Duncun Ochieng in goal threw the ball quickly to a running Victor Wanyama but he failed to keep it into play. In the 13th minute, the visitors got their second free-kick just near the Kenyan goal but Musa Ahmed's shot was defended well.
Kenya got the first corner in the 24th minute when Francis Kahata efforts to beat Efe Ambrose in the Nigerian defense ended in vain.
Ambrose was forced to come out and stop Kahata once again in the 29th minute after Jamal Mohammed had picked him out with a splitting pass but Stars could only get a corner from the effort.
Kepha Aswani making his return to the Kenyan team after a long time was a pale shadow of himself and he looked injured as he time and again limped. He never made any effort at goal allowing Vincent Enyeama to have a long rest in the first half.
Nigeria got their first corner of the match in the 34th minute when a goal bound Musa Ahmed was stopped in his tracks by David Ochieng.
Four minutes later, Ahmed's shot was deflected by Mandela and calmly picked by Duncun Ochieng’, who made a throw to Johanna Omollo and he made the first attempt at goal but his effort was stopped by Vincent Enyeama.
The Kenyans were gaining confidence as the first half wore off and Peter Opiyo made the second shot at the Nigerian goal in the 39th minute.
Nigeria got their second corner in the 43rd minute but it was the home team who ended the first half on a high note with Victor Wanyama coming close only to shoot wide.
The worst would come with less that 15 minutes left to play, Stephen Waruru giving away possession cheaply in the opponent’s third, a counter attack resulting in Ahmed Musa lifting the ball over an advancing Duncun Ochieng.

A Swiss Politician's Thesis

The Neue Züricher Zeitung (Felix Schindler) reported on April 30, 2013 about a case of plagiarism in a thesis of a politician, Doris Fiala, a member of the Swiss National Council. It seems that although she did not have a matura, the Swiss school-leaving certificate the enables one to study at university, she was able to attend a post-graduate program for a Master of Advanced Studies at the ETH Zürich. This program is a tuition-based program in a country where public university programs are free.

The NZZ reported that a person working at the department of psychology of the ETH Zürich had used her thesis (which was available online and was removed, but still can be found on the Internet Archive) to test a plagiarism detection system, and it came up with a number of text parallels, including a number from the Wikipedia.

Ms. Fiala defended herself profusely, for example in the Tages-Anzeiger on 7 May 2013 (Lorenzo Petrò) or on TV: Teletop (13 May 2013, video, in Swiss German) with a copy of her thesis.

At some point the beginning of May VroniPlag Wiki started to take a look at the thesis. It was not a doctoral dissertation, but it was interesting to see what kind of plagiarism was to be found. There were interesting things to be seen: Many statistics on pages 132-141were taken from official sources as screen shots, with the official copyright notices cut off. There was indeed plagiarism from the Wikipedia and even two articles from the NZZ. Chapter 2.3.1.2 was an almost complete plagiarism, as were pages 146 and 147. It was decided to publish the documentation, since the case was already being discussed in the press and there were attempts being made to play down the extent of the plagiarism, which currently stands at 41 %.

The Tages-Anzeiger (Lorenzo Petrò) reported on 14 May 2013 about the VroniPlag Wiki documentation, including a link to a copy of the current preliminary report, but noted that the university is currently not commenting on why this thesis was accepted, except to say that they are looking into whether to start an investigation.

The US today Monday June 3rd posted up to $23 million in rewards to help track down five leaders of militant groups accused of spreading terror in west Africa.
The highest reward of $7 million is offered for the Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, who last week called on Islamists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to join the bloody fight to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.
The US State Department’s Rewards for Justice program also targeted Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), offering its first ever bounties for wanted militants in west Africa.
Up to $5 million was posted for Al-Qaeda veteran Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the one-eyed Islamist behind the devastating attack on an Algerian gas plant in January in which 37 foreigners, including three Americans, were killed.
A further $5 million was offered for top AQIM leader Yahya Abou Al-Hammam, reportedly involved in the 2010 murder of an elderly French hostage in Niger.
Malik Abou Abdelkarim, a senior fighter with AQIM, and Oumar Ould Hamaha, the spokesman for Mali’s Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), were also targeted by the rewards program, which will give up to $3 million each for information leading to their arrest
